PCB Boards Scrap

Printed Circuit Board (PCB) scrap refers to discarded, obsolete, or defective circuit boards from electronic devices such as computers, smartphones, and appliances. These boards are complex assemblies containing valuable metals, plastics, and hazardous materials, making their proper management critical.
- Key Characteristics:
- Metals: Precious metals like gold, silver, palladium, and copper are embedded in traces, connectors, and components. Copper is the most abundant, constituting about 15-20% of a PCB's weight.
- Plastics and Fiberglass: The board substrate is often made of epoxy resins or fiberglass, which are non-conductive and form the structural base.
- Other Components: Capacitors, resistors, and integrated circuits may contain additional materials like tin, nickel, or ceramics.
